Certified-payroll preflight

Check one week of certified payroll against the DOL WH-347 statement and its annotated instructions before you file it. The preflight is free. It deliberately collects no worker names, addresses, telephone numbers, personal email addresses or full Social Security numbers.

Checked against the DOL WH-347 form (OMB Control No. 1235-0008, expires 01/31/2028) and its annotated instructions. The government sources behind this preflight are re-checked on a schedule; last checked 2026-11-02 (5 of 5 sources verified).

The one thing the regulation prohibits

Under 29 CFR 5.5(a)(3)(ii)(B), the weekly transmittal must carry only an individually identifying number for each worker — for example, the last four digits of the Social Security number. Full Social Security numbers, last known addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses must not be included. Enter a nine-digit number and the preflight stops and tells you so; it does not store the number.

Payroll lines

One worker per line: identifier,classification,base_rate,hours,overtime_hours. The identifier is the last four digits of the SSN (or another short identifying number). Example: 1234,Carpenter,28.50,40,4.

Statement of compliance

The marketing box is not pre-ticked: you make the choice. Untick it and we will still run the preflight; you can unsubscribe at any time.
